With rail-focused services, InterRail addresses customers across the entire Eurasian region respectively along the New Silk Road. To support its freight brokerage services, InterRail draws on its own container fleet, and in the CIS, on its own and leased rolling stock. As a neutral service provider, the Group moreover operates container block trains between Western Europe, the CIS countries / Central Asia and China. Among InterRail customers are forwarding and transport companies as well as ocean carriers and shipping lines. The service portfolio also comprises end-to-end freight rates, documentation management, pre- and on-carriage, tracking and container provision. We are present with our own staff at all critical interfaces along the Eurasian route. Moreover, we operate our own container block trains and single wagons within the CIS. Beside container transport, our core competences also comprise the transport of goods in conventional wagons, as well as project transports and bulk shipments.

InterRail operates regular container block train connections that cover the entire, wide area of the CIS and connect these markets to China and Japan in the east, to Europe in the west, and in the south to Central Asia and farther. We have access to railway-owned and private wagons for all types of cargo; owing to our direct contracts with major railway companies, we offer cost-effective freight rates that allow long-term planning. We guarantee safe, secure and smooth processes during transport as well as in handling customs and freight documents. We will of course also gladly organize pre-carriage or on-carriage via truck or vessel as per your needs. The InterRail Group also offers the possibility of booking single containers or container groups on InterRail-operated block trains.

Beside traditional container transport, InterRail also offers a wide range of services for conventional, non-containerized goods. For big quantities, heavy lift, and out-of-gauge goods, wagon transport is often the best solution. Depending on seasonal fluctuations and market situations, InterRail controls and markets about 1,000 company-owned and leased freight wagons of different types (open and covered wagons, special wagons and container cars). Direct contracts with the railway companies in Eurasia allow competitive rates. With its own, well-developed network and the network of the entire TransInvest Group, InterRail can moreover offer attractive multimodal transport solutions in combination with truck and vessel.

We transport practically every type and volume of cargo via rail: containers, reefers, non-containerized goods and project transports. Especially for big volumes, high-weight units or out-of-gauge goods, rail transport is in most cases the ideal solution in terms of transit-time and costs. Depending on your transport volume, you can book container block trains or container groups, single wagons and, as a new product, also container part loads. Comprehensive services along the route make our offer a reliable, all-in package.

Maximum safety for your goods: Swift and cost-effective transport is important; but likewise important is that the goods reach their destination complete, undamaged and unspoilt. With a wide range of measures we guarantee the best possible protection of your freight. And should really something unforeseen happen: we are ready to react at once and solve the problem immediately.

Electronic GPS seal: Upon request, your containers are fitted with an electronic GPS seal. When damaged, it sends a signal to the engine driver and to the security escort personnel. They inform the nearest police station at once and give us detailed feedback on the situation.

Security escort: At the stations, our security guards patrol along the train on both sides. In addition to the anti-theft locks on the wagons and the video surveillance at all trans-shipment terminals, this guarantees maximum protection against theft from a stationary train. At the terminal, we position containers door to door or lift them onto empty containers to protect them from unauthorized access.
